It has quited down a lot lately I noticed. I think with the holidays coming up it's been extremely so. I'm on pretty much every day Mon-Fri though. LOL Nice subject for the thread.

To everyone:

Why do you want to lose weight? For a specific event? To have more energy?
 
I want to lose weight to look better. I used to be 120lbs 3 years ago, but I've gained a lot of weight since then, and I want to look as good as I used to, and feel better about myself.
 
I want to loose weight b/c I want to establish good eating habits in my children. Also, I don't want to be an embarressment to them when they get older, you know "oh, she's the one with the fat mom", I realized too that if I didn't do something about my weight now I would CONTINUE to gain a whole pant size every year until I did, and my depression would just get worse.
 
i just want to look better and have more self esteem and not be a statistic anymore!
 
I want to lose weight for multiple reasons. I want to feel good about myself, look good, be healthier, etc. There are too many unnecessary hardships that come along with being overweight. I made many other changes in my life and felt that now was the time to make this change as well.
 
Im doing it for me!
Im doing it so i can be around to see my kids grow up

thats a good enough reason for me to kick some butt and be healthy :D

I am doing it for myself first off...to feel better & have more energy...to be around & keep up w/ my 2 boys... just to be healthy & strong.
 
Hello everyone, this is my first time, and I have no idea if I am even doing thjis right. I am 42 yrs old...and very overweight...i ahve at least 75lbs to lose....UGH..I want to get in a group of some sort that has a time frame goal...and post weight and pics...can any one help me?
 
Hi Fitmom....its ok, we are all new at one time! You'll learn your way around. But you did kinda post this in an area its likely to get missed.. You might want to post an intro in the newbie section and then you can start a diary, we'll all check in to chat with you!
 
ever since i was a teen I have been a little bit chubby... and i decided this past january that I was going to start eating healthy, and more importantly just start exercising... I wasn't doing any real physical activity to keep myself in shape and so making that a part of my day was important to me. In high school I dreaded running the mile in gym each semester - now I run a few miles a few times a week... I just feel so much better about myself and where I am headed. This forum gave me the confidence and support I needed to keep up with a routine and to really stick with it.
