What type of exercises are we talking about?

Could be just the exercise is increasing the contraction of the colon, could also be irritable bowel syndrome. I would talk to your doctor and he/she can give you a better idea of what is going on.

some people think that doctors and nurses can put scrambled eggs back into the shell. - Dorothy Canfield Fisher

Strange quote but if you sit for a second and think about, you'll get it ;)

I'm not sure that it's all that unusual. I've settled into the habit of taking a "pre-game dump" myself. It's probably just one of those things nobody talks about. ^_^

I agree. Happens to me sometimes too. Not every time, but sometimes, and it doesn't hurt.

Perhaps you're not eating enough fiber to clean out during other times of the day and exercise just stimulates the process. You could try and add some metamucil to your diet and see if you can get on a regular schedule.

If you Google 'runners trots' you'll probably find a lot of help on the subject. It's quite normal and I think the body does adapt to an extent. I've suffered from this in the past but I also suffer from a mild form of IBS so maybe the 2 are linked
