This is my introduction.

I am 33 years old, male.. and after I quit smoking I gained 45 lb. I was up to 260, I have so far brought myself back down to 249, but with my wedding coming up in 2 months and 10 days I'm looking for any guidance I can find to help me on my journey. I've cut my calories in half and lowered my carbohydrates by 2/3. I am mainly doing pushups/planks/crunches/squats so far. I am also thinking of adding jumping jacks and getting back onto my elliptical. This will work I'm sure but I have a small window of time, I'd love to get back kdown to the 215-220 I was at before I quit smoking 7 months ago. I am primarily looking for people going through similar things and for people who could help me in my goal of reaching 215-220 again as soon as humanly possible. I am 6'2 249 at current. I hope this intro suffices. My main end goal is to reach 200. I would very much like to find someone who I could start the journey with and reach goals together but that would just be an added perk, I'm open to anything at this point.

I do ten minutes of jumping jacks, great cardio work out that helps lose fat and easier on the knees than running. One minute of full jumping jacks as many as I can, then ten second break, repeat. Congrats on getting married and starting your weight loss journey. Hopefully it will be more of a lifestyle change so it's not temporary weight loss. That is where many dieters go wrong, myself included. Fiber will help you feel full longer. Try grapefruit and green tea/oolong tea. Add weights to your training regiment, or use household items if you don't have a gym to attend. Building lean muscles is good for burning more fat. Eat your meals. Rev the metabolism up, don't let it subside for too long. It's possible to hit your 215-220 mark in two months' time, just dedicate yourself and focus on you. Every little bit helps. Welcome to the forum, hope some of this info is useful. Don't be afraid to start a diary in the section for motivation, keeping tabs on your eating, and plenty of inspiration.
