This is bad...Sorta

Ok well at school today after about 15 minutes of taunting my friends finally got me to agree to some arm wrestling. I'm bigger than the three guys that i wrestled but historically absolutely hopeless at armwrestling. The first guy i did was a perfect match i'm probably a bit stronger than he is though. The second guy we did it left handed i was winning but my shoulder was starting to give out so i just gave up (of course, the don't believe me when i tell them that). The third guy is about 6'1" and 150Lbs. Considerable smaller than me and a very skinny build.

Surely after this arm wrestling is not a game of strength but more of technique, any tips?
 
Pull your opponents arm towards your chest.
 
I do believe it's mostly about rotator cuff strength.. Which most people don't work out, so it doesn't really matter that you lift..
 
yes, pull their arm towards you whilst at the same time pulling their wrist backwards (like in the Stallone arm-wrestling movie 'over the top')
 
Kinda cheat and use your core, sit facing 90 degrees away from the guy. Use your arms as well, but use your core to twist. Heh.
 
Arm wrestling...simply a matter of leverage. If the other person has put their arm in a postition where they can out do you even in the weigh 300+ pounds less than you, you're going to have a hard time winning. You both have to be equal and start equal or it's just an unfair measurement of you strength.
