Hey all, just need to be with others suffering with this weight loss and diabetes and had to stop drinking and stop smoking cigarettes. I tell you sometimes I can get so overwhelmed with it all but I need to start somewhere. So here I am.
Welcome to the forum, Maddy! It's always good to have people to talk/vent to who really know where you're coming from. Looks like you're taking on a lot of projects at once, kind of like spring cleaning for the body. How are you doing so far?
We know what is like - and how impossible it can seem to make such a big change.
I believe in starting with one thing. I started with daily walking and then added in things like walking more and cutting out sweets - then eating healthily. By building it up it didn't seem so bad.
I know that a lot of people would have given direct advice on the matter but I'll be honest with you, the mind is in the base and never to be underestimated, because sometimes we do things but the doubt of having no result will actually stop us from being successful. A personal development process must therefore be put in place at the same time as your training. Some youtube video can do the trick or just repeat with conviction that you will get there as many times as possible. Or instead of using negative sentences like "I could never do it" replace them with optimized sentences "I will do it even if it would be a little difficult", your brain will perceive these 2 sentences differently
