Third Time's a Charm

Over two months ago I stopped showing up here. Then nearly two months ago I made a second thread that ended after four days. But after some wishful and painful thinking, some embarrasing events and a new look on things, I'm back for a third time. And this time I'm going to STAY! If I don't, someone come find me and slap me back into place please. :)

Anyways, in the last *nearly* two months I've gained back 10-15 pounds. :eek: I know, it sucks! That's a month and a half of work gone to waste! Though personally, for two months off I did pretty good not gaining too much back. I could have easily gained back those 48 pounds I had lost prior to now. For now, my signature will be a litlte outdated because I like to weight in Saturday mornings and that's when I'll do it. But you can expect it to be 185-190 as I have been periodically weighing myself.

I need to get really onto myself about some kind of pattern. You see, I started failing when summer started. Without school and normal work hours for my mom, there was no structure. No pattern. Breakfast at 2 in the afternoon. Dinner at 9. Nothing was right. So I'm going to set strict limits on myself. Because it's summer, the time I go to bed is never the same. Midnight. 2 in the morning. Never.. :p But no matter what, I will wake up and have breakfast at a set time. It used to be if we'd be at a friend's house and they offered something to eat, I would eat it so that I didn't have to tell them I was watching what I eat. But NO MORE OF THAT! It may be embarrasing for me to tell them I'm trying to lose weight but I don't care. I won't let a bunch of people who don't care about my weight hold me back.

Exercise is still unknown. I'm going to try and get out there and ride my bike and such but I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Maybe I'll just walking or something. I'll have to discuss my options with the mum. :p

Here's my set times to eat dinner:
Breakfast - 6:00am to 8:00am
Snack - 10:30am - 11:30am
Lunch - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Snack - 3:30pm to 4:30 pm
Dinner - 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Water - 12:00am - 12:00am (hehe)

Exercise will be whenever I can get it in! :) I'm also going to try and start leaving really diary posts and not just: Dinner - Carrots and chicken. :p Alright, well I've rambled on enough. Enjoy my wit and sarcasm. Just kidding. :p

Thanks. :) It's great to be back. So here's another post 3 hours and 20 minutes later... I haven't done anything except browse some other websites and had some water. 5 in the morning and I'm up to 24 oz. of water already! I'm about to go make it 32 oz. right now. :p
 
Welcome back!!!! Maybe since you gained back that 18 so quickly, it will drop off quickly?
 
Well I didn't gain it back all that quickly. Nearly two months would be about as fast you would lose it. I'm hoping though that maybe 5 or 10 pounds is just water weight that I put back on. Who knows... :p Go ahead and jack up my water count to 48 oz. though. :D
 
My mom is at work and my brother is sleeping in our bedroom. I have the whole apartment (that's saying a lot) to myself. It's really nice. Just to sit here and relax. Do nothing. :) I went to make myself a fried egg, only I'm not a cook. I completely messed the egg up so I gave up and threw it out. Instead, I was lucky enough to find good Soy Milk in the fridge and had a bowl of plain grits with half a cup of soy milk. Very tasty! Now I'm going to spend another two hours relaxing and hook myself up with a snack of some kind. Also, I've had 64 oz. of water thus far and it's only 8:25 am!
 
Welcome back Eric ! :D Remember, the third time IS the charm IF you are truly committed ;) YOu CAN do it! Don't depend on others for your schedule and you'll be fine! :D
 
Aww - fried eggs are kind of hard to master, especially if you are trying not to break the yolks. Try scrambling next time. Just spray a pan with cooking spray and turn on the heat, whip the egg(s) with a fork in a bowl, dump the egg(s) in the pan and keep stirring around until things get firm. These are better for you anyway, as any bacteria that might be in the egg get completely killed. Remember, a runny yolk is an uncooked yolk. :p

Use a plastic utensil if your pan is non-stick, or your mom might have to thrash you! :D

Okay, so I napped right through my first snack time and didn't get anything to eat then. :( I was then awoken because my mum's car had a flat tire and we had to go help her change it. Though my brother did the work (I didn't want to get dirty). We went to Ralph's where I got a turkey sub with lettuce and mustard on white (they were out of wheat) bread.

Then for a snack I had a peach. I also took a great, cold shower! It's sooo hot in California. I may be going to the pool here in a few but I'm not sure yet.
 
Well, I nearly disappeared again but I'm here to redeem myself. I don't have time to go into great detail of everything but I forgot to fill in for last night so here we go. For dinner I had a serving of canned vegetable soup. It's actually really tasty and pretty healthy. You just have to watch the sodium intake as one serving has 920mg of sodium! :eek: The whole can having nearly 2500mg!! I had that pretty early so near the end of the night I got hungry. Around 9:30 I had a peach to finish things off. I also reached over 110 oz. of water. Not sure exactly where though. :p

As for this morning, I had a cup of corn pops with a 1/2 cup of milk. I also had a banana with it. I've had 24 oz. of water thus far. Looking for 64 oz.! :D
 
hey eric. welcome back. was wondering where ya went. glad to see you're okay and you didn't fall off the bandwagon. :) now don't go disappearing on us for the 3rd time mister. ;)
 
Well, had a short disappearance here for a day but I'm back quickly. Yesterday we were at the beach swimming for 2 or 3 hours, not sure exactly. Didn't bring my watch. :p Today I was in the pool for an hour, too. As for yesterday, my eating was great until dinner. After dinner, it all went downhill. Dinner was a chicken cheese steak jr. sandwich. Then I had two pieces of pizza and some other stuff that I forget now. Simply put, I sucked it up. As for today, I did a lot better. I missed breakfast but made up for it with a banana. :p I had a sandwich for lunch as well as another banana at some point. I believe that's all for food. I also had an abba-zabba bar which is taffy with peanut butter inside. Dinner is coming soon even though it's pretty late but oh well. Had to stay home and watch wrestling so my dinner will be brought to me a bit late. :p
 
Quick update before I roll off to bed. I had what I'm guessing is 7 oz. of steak for dinner and then a peach later for dinner. I also had a box of cherryheads. I've had at least 64 oz. of water today but not sure exactly how many. I'll be weighing myself when I wake up in the morning.

Well, it's finally come. I stepped on the scale and weighed in an astonishing 182 pounds. 3-8 pounds less then I thought I was. Yay for empty stomachs! Now to get some grub.. but first, update my signature! :D
 
Alright.. how about a quick update? Yay! For breakfast I had one cup of corn pops with half a cup of 2% milk. Scrumptious! Hehe. I also had a banana about an hour and a half later. Me and my brother wrestled for about a half hour until he landed on my shoulders and it really hurt. So now I'm taking it easy until later tonight so we can do it again. Yay us! You really can lose weight having fun! Lol. I'll probably be having lunch within the hour as well.
 
Hi Eric - welcome back!

You have done an amazing job so far, 41 lbs lost is a great success! You can keep doing this if you keep focused on what you're trying to achieve, and that's eating better, getting healthy about what you're eating and the end result will be weight loss.

It really is about lifestyle changes.

Just stopping by to let you guys know I'm still alive. I had a late breakfast which consisted of a bowl of grits. MMM! I had a cup of milk a few hours ago too. I haven't had any water yet so I need to start chugging that down as well. I'll probably be having lunch here in a few.
