Sport think i need more healthy fats in my diet

Sport Fitness
hey

Im 14 years old and I am turning 15 in about 2 months.

I really want to gain alot more muscle and so far nothing seems to be working. I work out at the gym, eat alot of meals and still nothing. I desperatly want to get bigger, buffer an thicker.

I would really appreciate it if you could read through my diet and tell me things I need to add or take in order to get my desired results.

Breakfast: Bowl of 4 or 6 vita brix with a chopped up banana and light shape milk and sometimes a couple scoops of low fat yougurt on top.

Meal 2: Low fat yougurt and sometimes a small snack like a special k bar or a small can of tuna as well.

Lunch: A salad sandwhich in wholemeal bread with cottage cheese and either chicken or mince meat or a salad sandwhich in wholemeal bread with tuna and tomato sauce.

During workout: A small snack like a peice of fruit or a special k bar etc.

After workout: A glass of shape light milk.

Dinner: Varies but I always have vegies with dinner and also cut off all the fat on my meat and never eat anything to unhealthy at dinner e.g. butter, gravey, chips things like that. I also have a glass of shape light milk with dinner.

Desert: I don't always have desert but when I do have desert I have low fat yougurt with fruit.

Before bed: A glass of milk.

Do you know the amount of calories/prot/carb/fat in this eating plan? If you do I wanna ask what it is, if not you should check it out. You could be a hardgainer, in which case I would say to get a weight gainer supplement for an extra 500-1000 calories. If you are trying to put on weight, then you need alot of calories. Let us know.

Definitely put something more than a glass of milk after your workout, something high in protein.

You really need to log the macro nutrients as Tony mentioned to get a true understanding of what you need to add.

Based on your meal plan, if this is true for most days, it does look like you may need to eat a bit more PWO...and maybe just more in general.

At 14/15 don't stress out about gaining size. Focus on mastering form, training, and having fun in the gym. Allow nature to take its course. Train smart for a few years and you'll be further ahead than most of us were at your age.

Good luck,

Thanks heaps for your replies, ill try to eat a bit more in future. As for after workouts should I maybe have a protein bar or protein shake or something?

You'll want more carbs right after training....check out these articles for the details.
