Well, I figured it'd be a neat idea to get to know some of you that are in the 20's like myself. So this club is for anyone under 24. Sorry anyone who is older dont :boxing: me. :rotflmao:

Weight loss is a lot different for people our age, and there are a ton of different factors. Usually the biggest is schooling, high school, college, etc.

To start, I am 21, in Texas. I work full time for a company that I moved with across the country.

Feel free to discuss, or just say hello. :beerchug:

Hello! Nice club, I like the idea of it. :D

I am 17 years old, I live in England and I'm in my second year of Art and Design. :D

I'm 21 for about another month, 2 kids, living in England for about another 2 1/2 months, then it's on to Italy (married a military man, gotta love all the moving around). I'm trying to loose another 29lbs (or as close to as possible) before october. though honestly I'll be happy with fitting into my size 5 pants again even if I'm not quite at my goal weight. :)

Cool idea, i'm 18 from England and just finished my first year of HND Multimedia.

I'm 20, from Florida.

Currently a part time student, I am looking for part time work...

Not this fall, but next fall, I will be a full time student agian.

Hi!

I'm 22, born and raised in Sweden, now live in Honolulu, Hawaii to go to school!

Gained a LOT of weight when I started college. (Junk food is such an easy way out when you're stressed out in school.)
Now I've been losing weight consistently since february 22, and so far it's going good :D

Hey everyone! I'm new to the boards and definitely new to dieting. LMAO. So after I left for college last fall, I definitely gained a lot of weight. MUCHH MUCH THANKS TO excessive drinking and lack of exercise. The only exercise I ever got was the walk from my dorm to the frat house -- to drink alcohol. LOL. Anyway, I'm on top of things now. Sort of. SO EXCITED TO GET TO KNOW EVERYONE!! YEEEE.

Nice to meet you all! :D Seems a lot of us have that same "After highschool" problem. I don't go to college, but I live with 2 guys in a house fully stocked with alcohol and horrible food.

heyy

Hi Everyone!

It's nice to see young people who recognize eating healthy and being active is important. I'm 21 from Toronto, Canada and although i don't go to school atm working full time and being around people who live an unhealthy lifestyle has definetly taken a toll on my weight.

But you know what, it's easier for us to lose weight and get into shape compared to that of a person in their mid-40s etc. Creating good habits now will serve us later in life.

Good Luck Everyone!

Hello fellow generation X'ers, lol. wait, that is what we are right? idk, i get confused by all that crap. I am 23 years old now, at the end of a 1 year break from college. Im looking to get back into some classes this fall, but in the meantime i have been working as a substitute teacher as well as a track and field coach. I have opportunities this fall to not only continue substituting (which is nice because I get to choose when I am available to work), but also to work as an assistant coach for the Varsity football team. there is also some plans in progress to appoint me as the new head coach for the indoor track and field team this winter as well. I never thought this is where I would be at this point in my life, but I have to say, between getting back into shape/losing weight, and having a total blast coaching and *gasp* even teaching, I am enjoying life. and that is saying alot considering the very dark places I have been in the last 5 years of my life. The experiences Ive had and the wisdom Ive gained, its all so amazing, and ive so much more to learn still. Since it is relevant at this point, I'll share my favorite quote. It is something Isaac Newton said in his later years: "I don't know what I may seem to the world, but as for myself; I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me "

I think one of the things i am most grateful for is realizing that the rest of my life has already begun, and that while I have a lot of time before me, I want to make the most of it because its the only time Ive got. Im no longer feeling rushed as if i need to progress to a certain point in the quickest way possible. Im taking my time with the important things, like health and wellness, and doing it the right way this time. I feel it is far better to take a little more time getting things right the first time around, than it is to try and do them quickly and have to repeat yourself over and over again. Applying this philosophy has been one of the best things I could have ever done with my life, as I really feel like I am on the right track.

anyways, Im just rambling, hoping to maybe get some of you other young people to stop and think for a moment.

Hey guys, I'm a 22 year old male from southern california and like some of you after high school I got a little overweight due to excessive drinking and before ya know it I was over 200 pounds. I was always in pretty good shape during high school due to my active life style in sports and other activities. Since high school ended I havn't been too active and I think that plays a big role in my weight gain. I have recently gotten back into martial arts after a couple years of not doing it, It's something I really enjoy and it has helped me lose a significant amount of weight so far. I look forward to getting back to my "high school weight" and hope to be there in a couple months.

Hello all! I am new here.

I am a 23 year old female from Iowa. I am a full time student working on my associate's degree in arts and sciences. I started dieting in February but it didn't go so well at first, but I still managed to go from 297 to 280 or so. I started getting serious about a month and a half ago and I am down to 265.

I decided to drop the weight because, for the first time, I am really thinking about my future. I need self esteem to find work and make friends. I have been in a relationship for a little over 2 years, and eventually we would like to have kids, and I want to be around long enough to watch them grow. Just wanting to live a happy healthy life without weight holding me back.

I look forward to getting to know you all, best of luck to everyone.
