the weight of muscle

currently, i weightlift 2-3 per week, i was wondering how many pounds of muscle i should be gaining every week..is it like half a pound a week?? a quarter pound a week?? i always push myself and do weights at the max
 
there is no number. 1stly, everyone is different. 2nd, depends on how hard you work and what muscles you work. 3rdly, your progress is determined by how much you have worked out in the past and where you are at in the cycle of weight training (how close you are to reaching a plateau)
