STEP ONE-MAKE A DECISION
In the recovery process for addiction, the first step is admitting that there is a problem and surrendering to the proposition that help is needed. The same is true for weight loss and improving health. The first step is deciding that we refuse to live like this anymore, and then making a decision to do something about it.
People we need some help! Fat has become the look of choice and it's as though the population has just surrendered to it. We have become slaves to destructive, unhealthy appetites and lifestyles and it seems as though we are powerless or just unwilling to stop the deadly cycles.
I watched an entertainment show just the other night and most (if not all) of the female performers wore outfits that were unattractively too tight. Mirrors would have told the story or good friends should have informed them how ridiculous they looked in those too tight clothes. There is nothing attractive about anyone male or female, wearing clothes that show off bad, out of shape physiques.
So many have just given in to the conclusion that how things are presently is how they will always be. That is a deception and a lie straight from the pit of hell! Together we can accomplish great things including losing a ton of weight and living life to it's healthy fullest!
Education and information are powerful and I hope they will act as the necessary catalysts for change. When we know something is toxic and destructive to us should we continue to consume it? When the proof is right before our eyes shouldn’t we believe it? I am asking participants whether they are willing to give up some things to obtain a healthy lifestyle. How important is losing weight and getting healthy to you? Are you really at the weight and health level you would like to be at? Close to it? What is your "why" for accepting this challenge? It is more than just about the aesthetics (looking good), it is a health and life thing (feeling good and being active).
The health problems that stem from being overweight go way beyond the ones we usually hear about, like diabetes and heart disease. Being overweight can also affect a person's joints, breathing, sleep, mood, and energy levels. So being overweight can impact a person's entire quality of life.
I am beginning a 90 DAY CHALLENGE starting September 1, 2014 for all who want to join me in this effort. I will be blogging helpful information as we approach the start date to arm us with all that we can use to gain the victory in this endeavor. Remember, first things first. Make a decision as to the quality of life you desire and let's take the steps together to achieve that objective. Too many are dying prematurely and needlessly due to weight and health issues. It's time to fight back and reclaim the health that God intended for us to have.
