The Powerball. Does it work?

Recently while surfing the net I came across this upper bod excersizer called the Powerball. It is just a small ball about the size of a tennis ball. It doesnt use batteries, but just Gyroscopic power which can travel up to over 13,000 RPMs generating almost 40 pounds of pressure on your arm. It supposedly "creates massive muscle burn" which rapidly increases muscle mass. Has anyone here tried it or know if it works? Please tell me your thoughts and comments.

A fun little novelty, but not a crucial part of a sound routine. It is fun to goof around with them and see how fast you can get it going, but no real added value

Actually, it's actually a pretty good gizmo. I bought one about 10 yrs ago (before it had all the fancy digital stuff on it - it was just a basic gyroscope, then) for strengthening my wrist and forearm for baseball ... I probably added about 4-5 miles on my fast ball in about 2 months ...
However, I probably could've done the same thing by going to the gym and focusing on those areas ... but, it's a cool little toy. I even still have it for friends and co-workers to play with ... they all love it.
