The number 1 mispelled word

Hey, i noticed from all my glorious years of online experience, that the word "lose" is one of the most misspelled words. I always see "Loose".

Anyone else notice any particular words that stand out? besides "ridiculous" i mean....lol

there, their and they're (a lot of people just use there for all three)

definitely (often spelled definately or something)

and I'm not sure if you did it on purpose (would be pretty funny if you didn't) but it should actually be "misspelled" instead of mispelled

I know I'm sinfully guilty of constantly misspelling 'The'. Just how my fingers run, it becomes Teh. Its more common than you'd think.


while not a misspelling more than just shit lazy stupidity, is the textspeak. I'm sorry, you're on the computer with a full sized keyboard, you can take the extra keystroke and spell out the word 'to' instead of using '2' and perhaps not look like a complete and total jack off.

Along the lines of the previous post this one bugs the snot out of me: prolly. The word is probably. What's sad is I think there are some that actually don't know what the real word is.

I agree sometimes we forget the spelling or mistype it. That's why we need to make it a hobby of using a spelling checker.

And it's generally the people who are complaining about someone else's grammar that are the ones spelling it wrong.
