Basicly from my research i devolped my own plan that goes like this.

No sugar.
Low Calories.
Low Sodium.
Low LOW Fat.

Actually what I am eating is a power patty, salad, and piece of fruit for break fest, something like wise lite for lunch, and again for supper.

I keep smoothies already made up in the fridge incase i want to substitute a meal with one also.

I bought healthy choice tv dinners, I think around 8 of them. They were on sell. So far I have only ate 1. Was that a good decision? Sometimes i may not have patties on hand ya know.

I also bought frozen fish fillets...but I am dissabillity so I bought the ones made of polock... couldn't afford flounder. Next time should I pay extra for flounder?

The "power patties" as i call them are made of canned salmon (I know bad, but I have tons of it i need to use), frozen bag of mixed vegetables (Peas, Carots, Corn, Green Beans, Etc.), and Bell Peppers. 2 eggs have to be be put into the salmon in order to get the them to stay together as patties (sigh), then I add a cupp and a half of flower. Pat out patties and place them on a tin foiled baking pan and bake them on 350 for 20 minutes. Once that's done put 'em on broil untill brown. Then ya freeze ;em or throw 'em in the freeze.

BTW. that recipe is for two cans of salmon. It'd of course be way better to use real fresh salmon diced up in a mincer. Oh I forgot to mention I love my my black and decker food mincer. lol.. :D

I almost always warm my patties up on my foreman grill. I never use and cooking oil or butter of any kind.

sounds like you got a plan going.. thats good.

Do you know that your body stays in a higher state of metabolising if you eat more often? Thats not to say you should eat MORE food no, it just means tht if you can break up your full day's worth of food into 5 or six meals, you'll burn more fat naturally than having just the 3 meals.

Make sure you drink plenty of water too. The more water you drink, the less your body will hold onto it so less water retention.

Fish is a good idea - very high in protein, no carbs at all and good fats. I personally eat 2 fillets of fish about 2 hours after my workouts in the evening - my choice is smoked haddock.

good choice on the low salt and sugar - should see some good results

Since you asked for opinions.....

First, I think it's great you have a detailed plan and are taking steps to carry it out. I am always amazed at people who decide to lose weight by "eating less" without putting any real thought or plan into what they are eating...and they are always so surprised when it doesn't work....I'm thinking of my boss who has been losing the same 20 lbs for the last year on the "no plan" plan.

Second, big thumbs up on the no sugar, low sodium approach. In addition to helping with your weight loss, you're just going to generally feel better without a lot of sugar and excess salt in your diet.

The two things that do jump out at me though are the lack of fiber and fresh veggies. Have you thought about maybe substituting whole wheat flour, rolled oats or buckwheat for your patties and using brown rice instead of white? Would your budget allow mixing in some fresh veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini) along with the frozen?

Truthfully I am not a big fan of frozen meals..but I understand the cost and convenience factor and the Healthy Choice meals do overall have far less sodium and additives than the Lean Cuisine (I'm a total geek, I actually stood in the freezer aisle one day and compared several ingredient labels).

Good luck with your plan!
