The Neuropsychology of Weight Control

Many years ago I stumbled across this program, and I have to say it actually worked for me. While it covered lots of ground regarding how/why you gain or lose weight, what/how to eat and the importance of exercise, the primary focus throughout the program was that you have to keep a positive outlook and believe that you can do it. It is what allowed me to lose the weight I did years ago. I need to get another copy of it for review (I have no idea whatever happened to the one I had before). I'm using the basic concepts of it now (starting to, anyhow) but I need a refresher course.

Has anyone else ever used this program, and how did it work for you?

Actually, if that was the Cybervision (?) product, I did own it. Yep, on my first diet all those years back. It was effective for me. I just looked in my closet where it once was stored, but couldn't find it. Probably the casualty of one of our spring cleanings. I was going to send it to you. I'll ask my wife and PM you if I find it, but it is probably gone. I doubt it is being made any longer, but you might check Amazon or Ebay for used copies.

I'm not a fan of most diet books, because they are too structured for me personally and they don't deal with lifestyles that I'd personally be comfortable living with long term. I do like products like the one you brought up as they lead more to a restructuring of the way you approach things in general...if I'm recalling correctly. I recently bought my second "diet" book for my second weight loss journey because I heard the author interviewed on a radio show and his approach appealed to me...concentrating on nutrition, taking care of your health, very flexible, and focused on positive thinking.

I don't mention the title as it won't be for everyone's taste and I don't want to be accused of spamming. Also, I'm pretty new to it and want to test it out long term before offering an opinion.

We're talking about the same thing (I apologize if I spammed by mentioning the title...still learning the ropes here). I've seen a few on ebay and also at amazon.com. You can still buy it direct from Sybervision, but apparently it doesn't come with the book anymore, it's either on CDRom or by MP3 download. I've actually still got a working cassette player, I think I'll see about picking up one of the old sets.

I wouldn't worry about your post being considered spam whatsoever. The program you're referring to has to be 20 years old. The program I was referring to is pretty new and could be considered spam. And, some around here are touchy about spam...rightfully so in that I get the feeling that a lot of people come to pawn their products/methods on the unsuspecting, especially at a popular site with a susceptible audience.

It is on Amazon

You can find a copy of the program you mentioned on Amazon - used for $8 plus shipping. I just ordered one for myself - sounds interesting.
