haha yes, The Mars Volta is a band and their new album is Amputechture
They are just so revolutionary when it comes to rock music. They've taken things to a new dimension. They sound like nothing ever before. And the talent of all the members is just insane.

You my friend have a great taste in music. I have the cd, I've only listened to it once though. How did you like France The Mute in comparison to De Loused? Would you say the new album is better than both?
I dont think anything will EVER be better than Deloused. But I will say, this album comes DAMN close.
Francis is probably my least favorite of the 3. Not that its bad, it just seemed like they went off on too many tangents. Not really sticking to a theme. Amputechture and Deloused definately have that cohesive "theme" feel to it.
I've heard lots of differing opinions about TMV though. Some people claim Francis was the best. But opinons are what make the world turn....oh and the sun's gravitation pull
