I think it will be fun to start a journal. It will help me track my progress better.
I'm doing a split in which one day I do mostly pushing movements and the other day I do mostly pulling movements.
I work out 4 times per week
Mon: Push
Tuesdayull
Wednesday: REST
Thursdayush
Fridayull
My Routine - probably needs some work
Push: (Pecs,Delts, Tris)
3-4 Sets Bench press
3 Sets Incline Bench press
3 Sets Incline Dumbell Press
3 Sets Military Press
3 Sets Cuban Presses - Rotations (Rotator cuff exercise)
3 Sets Seated Lateral Raises
3-4 Sets Close Grip Bench Press
3 Sets Tricep pushdown
4-5 Sets Decline Situps
Pull: (Back,Biceps, and some leg work)
3-4 Sets Deadlifts
3-4 Sets Pull-ups
3 Sets Barbell rows
3 Sets Lat Pulldowns with a Wide Parallel grip bar
3 Sets Standing Cable Curls
2-3 Sets Incline dumbell curls
2-3 Sets Alternating Hammer Curls
3 Sets Shrugs
4-5 Sets Hanging Leg Raises
Going heavy, around 6-8 reps , 1 minute of rest
My Priority is my upper body. My legs seem to grow fast, especially my hammies, most of my jeans now feel unocomfortable and tight in the upper legs. So I don't do much work for the legs.
I'm 6'1, around 198-200 pounds, haven't measured bodyfat yet.
I've been pumping iron for 7-8 months actively. I was 165 when I started so I guess I'm doing well, I gained some fat as well but not too much, I have clearly visible 4 pack.. I'm pretty happy with the progress so far , everybody is complimenting me, telling me I look much bigger and better.
The air conditioning doesn't always work properly at my gym which sucks.
It was 95 degrees a couple of days ago, and it was really hard to workout in the heat. I can't imagine how hot it's gonna be in the following months, especially July, It's gonna be like 100 + everyday, hope they fix the air conditioning.
Diet is fairly clean, around 5 meals per day, each containing carbs and protein, I try to add in some good fats when I can.
And also, I watched the epic documentary 'Pumping Iron' , I think everyone must watch it. It was great, it featured many bodybuilding legends like Arnold, Lou Feriggno, Franco Columbu, Serber Nubret...
