The "keep your body guessing" program

:waving:Ok, I don't think that is its real name, but I lost the link to the story where I read about it. My question is has anyone tried it and had success (or failure) with it? The basic premise of the "program", if you want to call it that, is you diversify the calorie quantity and character of your daily meals over the week. You might have a high carb - low calorie day followed by a high calorie - high protein day. I wish I still had the link to the article. But they claimed it worked since your body adjusts to whatever calorie/exercise plan you go on. By keeping it guessing so-to-speak, you burn calories at peak levels. Anyway, I'd be interested if anyone has tried it and how they managed to actually implement it.

Overly complicated for most anyone here.

For a specific group, namely those who don't have all that much to lose at all, cyclical diets can be quite 'good.' But the whole "keep your body guessing" bit is a bit simplistic as to what's going on behind the scenes.

If you're interested, do a search for posts made by me with the word "leptin" in them.
