The Future of Spaceflight

Hello everybody. So today I published a piece on and I'm curious to what everybody thinks will happen.

In brief (I expand on the idea within on article) I believe that it will come down to private companies who aren't held back by the same constraints as NASA to advance spacecraft to whatever the next horizon may be. I truly do believe that our future is in the stars and while it will take a long time to reach our full potential it's vital that we keep working on this technology and explore more of our galaxy and beyond one day.

I think that the future of space programs depends on current politics of the world-leading countries

I think it's completely irrelevant. In the year 2012, aliens will land and teach us how to create warp engines. However.... Mankind will err, and in the first flight attempt, we'll blow up the earth.
I know this because Nostradamus is sending me telepathic message from beyond the grave.
