The Benefits of A Treadmill

Hi, i was wondering if beginning a treadmill/crunches workout routine would be at all effective by itself. If i was to run roughly 3 miles a day for 6 weeks, coupled with doing roughly 100-200 situps a day. (Doing more as i progress). Would I see any physical changes, and what might they be?. I understand that with proper diet this would be far more effective but that isn't really an option right now. Please tell your opinion.

Hey, first off man what are you aiming for? A 6 pack no doubt?

Really mate doing that many situps is pointless for you. Search around in the search bar for '6 pack' if that's what you want.

Running on a treadmill is fine, however running outside is probably better for you. No problems there though. Really you need to post your goals mate.

Yeah, listen to Woodt, smart person. Everything that should be said or asked has already been, except that your screen name sounds like something they'd use on "To Catch a Predator".

For running you need to be light and powerful. I've been training a 16 yr old neighbour for almost a year.
He was 118 lbs and wanted to start running, but wondered if he was too light weight.
Now after a year, he's 98 lbs (44kgs) and now does 13+ milers almost every day. I make him use the treadmill (as I do) to improve speed work.
It's not easy, but we all enjoy it, but doing loads of sit-ups doesn't work-it helps, but only a strict diet/training program make you lean.
Good luck
