The beginning of my journey August 2nd 2016

Hello, My name is Francisco Javier Martinez I'm 25 years old .. And I'm 5 feet 7 inches tall and I weighed 216 pounds. On July 18th 2016, that moment i realized I weighed too much the first thing that i had to do is to sign up in the gym i started doing a lot of exercises one day shoulders, and the other, leg, and chest etc, by the time i realized that the only way to lose some weight is by doing some cardio so i started to walk in the treadmill about 20-30 minutes, then i challenged myself to do it about an hour.. with a lot of determination i want to lose around 66 pounds, at the same time my mom is on diet i started it on August 2nd.

I haven't drunk any coke, any bread, any tortillas since then.. but i drink a lot of water probably 3 liters a day or more. And i feel so much better i don't need them.

But also is too hard for me when i go to the movies everything is food. popcorns, coke, candy bars and so on
is hard because is a lot of temptation.

I eat an egg with a fork. (no tortillas like i used to) In the morning.
An apple.
A tuna or A dish of lentils (without bread of course)
And a fiber cereal at night. (with slices of banana)
lactose-free milk!!
and some times i drink hibiscus tea without calories.

So now this month i weight 209 pounds, is too slow the process but i'm looking forward doesn't matter how long will take.. and it makes me feel depressed some times cause i expected to lose more weight and is a long journey.

This diet that i'm taking it is recommended by a doctor on facebook with a lot of followers.
If someone could give me some advice how to keep myself motivared or what i'm doing

Thank you from Mexico
Sorry if i did some mistakes but i'm learning english yet.

Keeping motivated is always difficult, especially when you are following the scale. I've said it dozens of times, but focusing on the scale is always depressing since it doesn't always follow your true progress. Exercising on a regular basis, especially when doing weight training, will cause the scale to go in the opposite direction.

Sounds along the lines of the military diet. Keep up the good work and positive thoughts go your way from me!

Francisco,
Keep up the good work. To keep motivated you can work on your mind set. I attached 2 pdf's. Please read and tell me what you think.

"Eating 5-6 times / day to keep your metabolism up" has been debunked years ago. The people that started saying that never did any research and just said it because it "made sense", so everyone bought in and started making it sound true. However, some smart people decided to actually do some scientific studies and proved, without a doubt, that it's complete BS. At the end of the day, the total caloric count is the only thing that matters.

I proved it to be true by losing 55 pounds. I know this works... but hey if you can truly help others by eating less have at it.
