First of all I hope your methods are working,i hope that the goals you set for yourself are realistic and that you are feeling happy about the route that worked/Works for you.

I am here not for me directly but for My Dear wife, her happiness is very important to me and i recently ran out of options (surgery not included).

Every story has a beginning a Middle and an end,but this one does not really have an end,but a constant struggle on a daily basis,a very large amount of frustration and sometimes even despair.

2 years ago,no explanation,no binge eating,no stress eating,no such thing has emotional eating no absolutely nothing my wife started gaining weight.Although this might sound surreal i can assure you this is nothing but the absolute truth on this matter.
My wife as it stands right now weighs close to my weight and she is not much over 5 feet tall. am 5.11 and i weigh 205 lbs while she sits at 198 almost.okay so initially we tried Tons of different "Shakes" that would replace 2 of the 3 main meals a day and that combined with A good amount of daily exercise helped maybe loose 1 or 2 lbs in a 30 day period, Creatine was also used and it didn't work at all on a 60 day period.
Recently she had several exams performed, many blood analyses and it all comes out normal, yes i mean normal as in Thyroid etc are functioning just fine with no abnormal Values whatsoever.
My Dear wife is a very Strong woman, one of those who inspire others and i have to witness that amazing quality fade due to her weight gain,so i decided to come here, hope for the best, but of course be prepared for the worst.at some point she was working a very very hard job (physically demanding) in which for 9 hours she did nothing but lift heavy objects, and a constant state of motion she always told me that the ventilation system was horrible and that she did nothing but sweat the whole time inside...no Lbs lost at all my dear friends. What i am trying to say(explain) here is that we eat healthy (recently even introduced tofu and soy) to our daily Diet and it is not working either. My wife now has a desk Job and her weight is stable around 198lbs,i cant stand her Sadness while looking at old pictures of us when we were younger, even myself i refrained from looking at pictures while she is present,my heart is broken and i want to do anything on my power to help my wife reach a healthier weight,it was a very big downfall on her self estime, her mood and her life in general.

If you been thru this,or if you know someone in Same situation please do share.i am out of ideas at this point.

Thank you

Sorry about this long post.

Suggest to your wife that she wears a pedometer all day long and check her daily step-count. At the end of the day - go out for a walk together and aim for the pedometer to read at least 10,000 steps per day. It can read a lot more - if she can it would be beneficial.

Also get her to take a pen and paper and write down every thing that passes her lips. Every drink, every thing eaten no matter how small.
When anything is cooked - write down all the ingredients - things like oil can have an enormous impact.
Sometimes we can have too much of something because we think that it is healthy - and it actually has an undesirable effect.

Drinking sufficient plain unflavoured water will help too - 100 fluid ounces would be a good amount for her.

Food can be fully logged into a calorie tracker and it can help you to see anything that is causing problems.

I am not a big fan of diet shakes - they just make their "diet" food totally different from the food eaten before so you learn nothing about nutrition - which means that you are more likely to make the same mistakes again afterwards.

If the food log and calorie analysis does not give you a clue as to where changes can be made to lose weight - then it is something to show to her doctor.
