Weight-Loss

I have never smoked in my whole life, but nevertheless my teeth are not that white anymore. Well but at least they used to be much whiter before I changed my behaviour of eating in order to lose weight. But I don't think that this could be the result for the loss of my big white smile, couldn't it?

Coffee also stains teeth, over time. I don't think tooth color is related to weight gain or loss, though.

Also, a lot of it could be in your head. I know feel like my teeth are dingier some days than others. Some times that feeling goes on for weeks. If you are taking proper care of your teeth and aren't drinking many sodas or coffee, I can't imagine your change in eating habits doing anything to your teeth.

brown colas, even diet, coffee, tea will all contribute to teeth discoloration...

WebMd gives some pretty helpful info
Tooth Discoloration: Causes and Treatments
How Can I Prevent Teeth Discoloration?
By making a few simple lifestyle changes, you may be able to prevent teeth discoloration. For example, if you are a coffee drinker and/or smoker, consider cutting back or quitting all together. Also, improve your dental hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly and getting your teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist every 6 months.

If your teeth appear to be an abnormal color without ready explanation and, if other symptoms are also present, make an appointment to see your dentist.

Good to hear that there is at least no connection between my behaviour of eating and my teeth. Of course I like to drink coffee, but I could drink tea instead of it if I knew that this is the reason for the loss of my big white smile :) But do you have any advise how to whiten the teeth again?

I don't know how you folk feel about teeth whiteners...

I, myself, had been weary about 'em. I tried those premium White Strips from Crest almost 2 years ago since I was embarrassed of my funky coffee smile :>. I was actually surprised after the 7 days my teeth were all white and luscious. I haven't used them since and they're still a nice shade of white :>. Hadn't noticed any drawbacks, either. No tooth sensitivity or whatevs. Wouldn't recommend heavy usage of any such thing but as I'd said before, I've only used them that one instance.

Anyway, hope this helps :D.
