Sport Teenage growth

Sport Fitness
How do you unsure you get the most out of your growth spurt when you are a teenager? I was thinking right amounts of vitamins and minerals, (particullary B vits.) regular exercise, eating the right foods, high calcium intake, lots of water and lots of sleep. Am i right?

Yeah, I would say, lots of food, lots of milk, lots of exercise, and lots of sleep.

Ok , ok, im kinda starting up this thread again coz ive been thinking alot about it lately.

Now im 15, 5' 4" so i havent goten my growth spurt yet. I weigh 103 lbs, got low body fat, but anoying 'streched' lower abs, maybe coz i hold in to go to the toilet too much :( Anyway. (this fixable)

I want to be able to get the most out of my grwoth and end up being as tall as my dad (almost 6 foot), but what i dont want to do is lose the visability of my abs. I have a big breakfast (2 cups oats made with water and 4 egg whites) and finish with a fairly small dinner, eating 6 meals a day. I have about 8-9 hrs a sleep a night and i go to the gym 4 times a week but workout 6 times (other days doing abs)

But, again is there anything i can do to be able to get the most out of my teen growth while stil maintaing a six pack? Because i don't really think going on a calorie defict is a good idea at my age, but i have done so for a while now just to keep my abs, and im worried its having an effect on my grwoth, because i am kinda small for my age, especially being a guy.

Anyway, any input would be appreciated, keeping in mind I HAVE A SLOW METABOLISM, IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH FOR ME TO GAIN FAT. :D

Thanx.

Yeah Milk is good.

Why is milk good?

Cows milk is meant for cows, not people. the calcium thing is a myth. You can get all the calcium you need by eating a diet if lean meats, vegetables, greens, fruits and nuts.

One of the major causes of bone loss is not a lack of calcium but an acid/alkaline imbalance caused by improper diet (for an example of an improper diet just look at the FDA food pyramid). When your blood Ph. dips below about 6.8 or 6.9 from its optimum of about 7.4, your body will leech calcium from your bones to buffer the acid.

how tall are your parents?
how tall are your grand parents?

some poeple hit growth spurts late. its not a big deal.

don't drink soda. do drink milk. milk provides vitamins besides calcium, as well as protein.

Well i don't drink soda, except for the occasional coke zero at parties.

Anyway, i was looking more into what kinda calories i should be taking in and what basically i should be eating.

Is 2 cups of oats too much for breakfast? I mean, that only just fills me!

I have parents no taller than 5'6. Last summer, during my growth spurt, I had a lean diet(with out any help) just mainly chicken, and tons on turkey and milk.

I am 6'1, I think eating like that made me so tall. Noone on either side is over 6' in my family, and my sister is 5'3.

Would be able to PM me or something and go into a littloe more detail? Thanx

What exercise did u do?
