Hi,

I drink between 2-3 cups of tea per day is this bad for weight loss?

its about 230ml/8oz of tea with about 20 ml of semi skimmed milk with 1 teaspoon of granuated sugar.

Also, I always require something along with my tea I usually have a couple of slices of jam or angel cake or couple of busicuits. I was told this will need to be given up to reduce weight. Is this true or can i replace it with something which is healthier and wont effect my weight as much.

Thx.

the tea itself is fine...

the sugar and milk are added calories that you can make work within your day.. though drinking the tea straight would probably be better for you...

As for the treats to go with the tea - moderation... make what you're having work within your day and you can still enjoy them -no reason to give them up compeltely - or just find somethig healtheir that you do enjoy...

hi!

i love tea with milk too

but yeah that's extra calories

anyways, if it's not too much then that's not bad right? hihihi

good luck and hope you reach your weight goal soon! :)

I drink LOT of tea lol. I used to drink milk but I switched to soya milk as it has low carb. Although I dont know how healthy soya is.

sounds like the eating biscuits etc with your tea is just a habbit, which can be changed if you wanted to, after so many days, you may not even miss it.

Instead i guess you could have fruit, or a couple of ryvitas or wholemeal ricecakes. maybe even put a bit of honey on them?

I drink between 4-5 cups of tea per day...mostly drink after 8.00pm..

Not only is tea soothing and delicious, but, throughout its history, it has been associated with important health benefits...

Consumption of tea is being studied for its reported benefits on:

Lowering LDL cholesterol levels

Increasing HDL cholesterol levels

Reducing blood pressure

Thinning the blood, reducing the risk of a heart attack

Lowering the risk of stroke

Reducing the risk of cancer

Boosting longevity

Aiding digestion .....
