i drink alot of green tea and i feel great!
i usually drink it before i go to bed. it really calms me down before i go to bed.
i've also heard that it speeds up your metabolisim.

what do you think of tea?

I converted to tea from coffee as part of my lifestyle change. Tea contains antioxidants, manganese and potassium. It contains a smaller dose of caffeine than coffee - but enough to give you that get up and go. Without milk, it has no calories.

There are studies available on the Net that suggest that green tea has both magic slimming properties and speeds up your metabolism. I am skeptical, especially about the former claim. I drink tea because I like it. I don't drink just tea - I also have some glasses of water throughout the day, and sometimes a fruit juice.

My favourite tea is green tea - I love a cuppa. But when its not available, I sometimes have a black tea. I also drink a lot of Rooibos tea - I keep some Tick Tock tea bags at work. Rooibos is a 'herbal tea' - that is to say, its not actually from the tea plant, but from another plant. Rooibos has no caffeine or tanin.

I drink green tea you buy at the supermarket. I drink a glass with every meal, but honestly I couldn't tell you if it helps you lose weight. It's supposed to clean out toxins, assist in fat oxidation, and apparantly has been tested with some success on cancer patients. I can tell you it doesn't hurt at all.

I just buy a box from the supermarket, brew up a huge pot, and keep it in the fridge. Does anyone know if one type is suposed to be better than another?

Green tea also can stimulate your motabolism.
I am trying really hard to drink green tea in place of both soda and coffee but I haven't been able to make a full transition.

what the nutritionists at Sparkpeople have said... somedays I really do preach the gospel according to spark...is that for green tea to have any real effecton metabolism you need to have a minimum of 4 -5 cups a day. but that's also adding in a bunch of caffeine..

Gree tea is good because of the anti oxidants and other stuff in it- i'd say drink it because you like it... and if there's a bonus.. well great.. but don't expect it to be a magic bullet :D

aye thats right, the amount ud have to drink for it to effect ur metabolism would be countered by the downsides of drinking too much, just drink it if you like the taste!

i do like a cup of tea now and again especially if i feel like i need warming up, i have tried coffee in the past but i feel all yucky even though i do love the caffeine haha

tea, even regular tea leaves me feeling better all round, but dont drink it expecting a change in your health unless ur a mad coffee drinker, if u dont enjoy tea just drink some water or juice

hello,

here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful:

cancer

rheumatoid arthritis

high cholesterol levels

cariovascular disease

infection

impaired immune function

New evidence is emerging that green tea can even help dieters. In November, 1999, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published the results of a study at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Researchers found that men who were given a combination of caffeine and green tea extract burned more calories than those given only caffeine or a placebo.

Green tea can even help prevent tooth decay! Just as its bacteria-destroying abilities can help prevent food poisoning, it can also kill the bacteria that causes dental plaque. Meanwhile, skin preparations containing green tea - from deodorants to creams - are starting to appear on the market....

thanks to all....
