Tanning Questions.

I have a question of tanning.

I am fairly white, well not completely, but I think a tan might be cool. However, the rates are confusing. Like one Tan for 10 minutes is 8.99, and than it goes on for 30 minutes 24.99, and than up to 100 minutes.

Now..why? Would I only need one tan? why would I need to go for more minutes?

Also, I have a few stretch marks on my back, my doctor says because of my chair in which I work on (web designer, I am). But its alittle weird. So I was wondering if a tan would make them not so noticeable?

Thanks!

**** that, I'd never go on any tanning bed or tower for 100 minutes, unless someone wanted "Deep Fried Fly"

I imagine you pay for a hundred minutes, and you effectively get ten ten minute sessions.

I think it would be grossly incompetent for a professional to allow even a black person to go on a sunbed for 30 minutes even.

Now for my sins...

Good sunblock. Sunburn is not cool. Makes you look particularly stupid if its winter

Start off small and low. As stated, sunburn = as cool as Donny Runsfeld.

If you have the choice, go for the sun shower or sun tower. Sunbed if you don't have the choice.

Don't know about stretch marks. I have a skingraft on my leg though which will now be purple for life thanks to getting it in the sun :D

i tanned for two hours once and it wasn't pretty. almost two weeks after i got burnt a guy at school said it looked like i poured boiling water on my front so imagine what it looked like they day after i tried to tan! And another thing, if you leave it for too long you'll get sunstroke as i did and believe me it really sucks. Just letting you know. Seeing as you're fairly white (like you said), i wouldn't go any longer that 20 minutes at a time at the absolute most.

Tanning

my wife is a redhead and naturally pale...

She just bought the Dove Skin lotion that has the tanning chemical in it. she has been using it a few days and loves it.

She was doing the spray booths that are popular, the Dove stuff has the same chemical and smells better.

I tan naturally very well, so I don't use the booths or spray, the interesting thing is the Chemical was developed by the Nazi's by accident. Who would have thought it!

Could it just be that you get 100 minutes total for that price.. meaning you come in to finish off your minutes.. The reason you would have to tan again or what not is to maintain your tan.. if you tan once if your fairly white you'll get a redness that will turn to tan.. but last a couple days and it won't be nearly a bronze color.. the more you go to maintain the tan the darker it will get.

As for the stretch marks it depends. If there red then a dark tan will help to blend in more.. but if there at the white transparent stage and you get tan it will somewhat stand out more. You can't cover them with tan.. just try to make them blend in more.

omg u soo have to be careful a while back there was a news report of a girl that went tanning for too long and it melted her insides and she died from it.

ok didnt see that it was the beach...but for all u guys that go to the beds, just keep that in mind. and to anweser the first question it could just be that they have some beds which are weaker and some that are stronger, hence the time and price differences. see about a package deal,. at the place where my husband and i go they have student discount packages unlimited tanning for a month for 50 dollars, any bed and any amount of time. it works out great.

I use tanning bed for special occasions.. weddings.. vacationing... I did for prom.. other than that I'm gettin sun. And the days we got winter... I'm a polr bear and adapt with my penny skin
