Taking protein on non workout days?

Ok, so a buddy of mine and I work out 5 days a week and take protein based on 1.8g for every kg of body mass.

My question is, should we be taking protein in on our off days? And if so, how much? On the same basis as above?
 
Yes you should still take in as much protein. I'd say reduce it if you were eating alot more then this but remember to keep your calories in check whilst you do eat that protein (protein included in that calorie count).

The reason is because protein intake is required for muscle repair (as well as general growth and tissue repair and appetite control). You don't stop repairing muscle when you stop training, infact the opposite applies- you tend to need your rest days to repair and repair requires protein. The only thing you need to watch for is over eating.
