Taking 5-8 different vitamins a day

I am taking at least 5 to 8 diff vitamins a day? Am I going to die of a healthy problem? I am addicted to vitamin C and B-Complex!
 
im no expert but ive read several reports of adverse effects from taking too many vitamins
i doubt you need so much especially for vitamin C as a single multivitamin and normal diet should be more than enough to cover your needs

i think any type of vitamin supplements beyond a multivitamin and maybe an extra calcium supplement is wasted money
 
But, some multi vitamins contain combinations of vitamins/minerals that cancel each other out. I just checked the multivitamin I was taking and discovered that it has calcium, copper and zinc. The zinc won't be absorbed if it is taken with calcium and copper. I decided to start taking extra zinc tablets separately and drop the multivitamin. However, if you aren't in any particular need of extra zinc, then it probably shouldn't matter. Most importantly, if you eat a well balanced diet, then you probably won't be deficient in any vital nutrients.
 
You should look into it a little more spicy. Calcium lowers the absorbtion of many minerals, but not by much. If I remember correctly it hinders zinc absorbtion around 12%, which isn't bad. Just something to remember :)

As for 5-8 vitamins, it depends on which vitamins and what dosage. I assume they're not multi's, or high doses.
