Okay, I am starting these tae bo videos tonight, and was just wondering...

has anybody done this and lost and been successful? I would love to hear some reinforcement, but I want honesty too! It would be great!

Tae Bo is really successful. It's not so much about losing weight as toning up. Sure you'll lose weight until you hit a healthy number, but the biggest difference you'll notice is the incredible amount of tone you'll acquire(given your protein + water intake levels are high enough). The boot camp series with the weighted bands really helps speed this process up. Just keep up with it, once the tape you're doing becomes easy(it will take some time), take it to a more advanced level. To me, Tae bo IS the best all-around workout on the market. It tones/burns/strengthens coordination/etc.

If you do Tae bo daily, be sure to keep your calorie intake at a decent amount. Tae bo burns a lot of calories so if you do not consume enough you won't be losing much.

If you do taebo daily, consume like 1600-1800 calories(hopefully mostly healthy). If you do it every other day, you can consume less calories like 1200-1500. Ultimately, you want your body at a pace that it can survive on. Over consuming or under consuming can become a potential problem to weightloss. It was for me for a bit. But taebo alone is better than nothing at all!

Anyway, goodluck with taebo! =] If you keep with it, you'll find yourself SMILING in the mirror to yourself in a few months.

HI Em!!!! I have not done the tae bo series yet. I have the whole set of Billy's Bootcamp and I have been doing that for 6 days of the week for two weeks. And I am now loosing. But in the begging I could tell in my clothes I have lost inches. Cause even though I did not lose the first week or so I my pants were very loose. You gotta stick with it.

The billy bands do work. My arms are toning and my tummy is getting smaller. I even have curse on my side:p AS soon as I finish my "Desperate House Wives" season 2, from NetFlex then my next video will be the Taebo series.

Prodigy4u~ You're so right with the eating habbits and what not. When I started the billy blanks bootcamp, I was always hungry. I have had it for about two years now. And before i would eat like crazy, I still lost inches but never any pounds. And this tme around I tried to not eat and ending up eating everything in site form starvation. But I now eat when I am hungry just healthier foods and still am dropping.

I love it I have been doing the 8 min work out for 3 or 4 weeks now and I just love it. I lost 10 lbs from it.
I started with the 8 min thinking it would be easy and I could work my way up, Its so fast and gets yo utotaly pumped. after watching the others i dont want to do them they are slow and dont look as fun.

I will say i have had a few problems with it. the first few times I fell over, It was during the part were it looks like your kneeing someone and I lost balance. Then a few days ago I was doing it and There is one part were your doing a speed bag and bouncing well I got a little to into it and during one bounce I shifted my arms and hit my self in the forehead. Im not the most cornated person on earth though.

I dont know if I have lost more inches of Lbs though. In total sence I started I lost 20 lbs (stress played a big part in the last 10) and I went from a size 22to a size 16.

wow~ Thats great, see, I was hoping I would lose weight, but then I thought about how it would give u muscle it would be discouraging not seeing the numbers....but hopefully i will fit better in clothes:)

i love tae bo also. especially the cardio circuit 2. that's one of the my favorites. i have the bootcamp also, but i didn't like it as much. the use of the bands was hard for me to deal with, but that's just me.
overall though - it's beneficial i think.
