I have been taking Syntha 6 protien powder as a morning shake for breakfast. I dont have (or don't make) time for breakfast before work. I know I need something so I keep the Syntha 6 at work so when I get there I can just shake up a batch at my desk and start working.
I initially bought it because I tried a freinds, I liked the taste and it disolves easily in water without a shaker bottle which works good at work. Im running low and was wondering if there are any better shakes out there for a morning breakfast before I buy a new batch.
Now I don't know alot about diferent supplements. I know its good to take Whey right after a workout, but with money and my issue of not having time for breakfast, I need one for morning only. I work out at noon-1 on my lunch break and then try to eat a good healthy lunch. The Syntha 6 jug says "sustained release potien powder"...so in my mind I'm almost thinking that it can still somewhat benefit my workout (about 4 hours after I take it). Is that really the case or am I just reading the lable like an idiot hoping on false claims?
Again, I know whey right after I lift would be better, but in this case, is there any merit to "sustained release"? If not, Im sure I could find a cheaper protien shake for breakfast....
Also, If you guys have any suggestions for something else please let me know. (male, 26yrs old, 5'10, 180 lbs, want to build muscle/strength but not to a bulking extreme like body building. Just trying to add "shape" and build some respectable solid muscles, but not striving for Hulk-like mass)
