I recently joined a club and have been trying to swim at least 4 times a week...I've already lost 5 pounds. I have heard that swimming isn't the most effective method for weight loss...any advice?
Swimming is an excellent form of weightloss.. when i lived near a pool I did laps 5 times a week.. its excellent as it gives a full body workout. I am very pleased with how it helped me tone up my body.
Swimming is a great form of exercise, your using a lot more muscles than any other exercise I can think of. If you continue with the 4 times a week schedule you'll continue to see an improvement.... good luck!
I would LOVE to be able to go swimming for exercise!!! I would do it all the time if I could! I live NO WHERE near a good pool and have 2 toddlers that I would have to tote with me if I did. Wouldn't exactly be a good experience trying to keep 2 babies above water all by myself. That is great that you get to do that!!!
If its working for you, then who cares if there is a better work out. If you dont like a slightly beter workout, you will never do it. Stick to the effective work out that you like
