The actual swimming isn't the tough part, the monotony of going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth - 84 total lengths (42 laps) for 1.2 miles. I was interested in the H2O Audio () but couldn't justify the price ($150 US). Then, at D I C K's sporting goods, I came upon one for $30 US and decided to give it a try. It works okay, but you have to turn the volume up to max and need to wear a swim cap to hold the earbuds in place. After one usage, there was no leakage to the iPod. But, I have an old, relatively inexpensive Nano iPod. I don't have enough nerve to use a $500 iPhone underwater.
The product is called Drypak, . You can buy it online for $49, but it costs less in sporting good stores (in the US anyways).
So, I give it a thumbs up!
