Surprising lecturers

It's always funny when I see these serious professors who lecture at my university put announcements on itslearning containing things like "woot!"
IMO, a speech (even at universities) should be geared to not put the students to friggen sleep, and capture their attention (if this is possible, lol, just KIDDING!).
An active and good presenter in college are priceless.

Anyways. Linguistics, really interesting stuff.. but we have the most boring lecturer ever... seriously.. when we were learning how you can make compounds of words of different (or the same) word class and the result will be a word of a different word class (which is really a simple thing to understand and .. well.. duuh) he went through like almost all the possible combination as examples..

linguistics? or the lecturer? I thought linguistics was going to be hell, but I'm finding it quite interesting.
