Supps = Bad for ur heart.

talking to my dad (docter) and:

1. it builds a high level of creatinine on ur kidneys

2. the high level of amino acids damages ur heart.

protein exract is bad for u in the long term, i warn people not to use it.

look i really want to believe it, becoz i want to gain muscle, but a high intake of amino acids like that can give u heart problems

N' for future referance.. when you make a statement like this, where you are going to try to convince people not to take certain things, based off of your dad, "who's a doctor", be more specific. Cause honestly you heard, now you say state it as if your educated in it, and have researched for yourself. BTW, what doesn't give you heart problems, or kidney failure, or cancer nowadays? A simple walk outside you can be healthy as an OX and drop dead of a heart attack. Don't be one of those crept up kids that sit there and believe everything is the devil. Live life and take chances, even if it is ahem creatine, or god forbid amino acids.

How??? Unless you can provide me with some scientific research, I call bulls**t. your father may be a doctor, but that doesn't mean he knows squat about nutrition and its affects on the body.

The Atkins guy was a doctor too I believe, and his diet is a prescription for heart disease.

and unless you already have bad kidneys, and are taking more creatine than 5g per day, it DOES NOT CAUSE KIDNEY PROBLEMS. I've read research on it.

please don't come in here trying to ignite a fire when you don't even have fuel to dump on it.
 
Perhaps your dad (or you) is making erroneous assumptions based on what real experts say about protein-only diets like Atkins, sometimes called "high protein diets." These diets are bad for your heart, but not because of the "amino acids", but because of the saturated fat.

I suggest your father do a little more research before he starts suggesting potato chips as a healthy alternative to meat.

By the way, a good case could be made for supplements like fat burners, but you're taking the two most innocuous supplements on the market today and saying they are dangerous after decades of safe use.

Elliot, read the links I gave you. Go read studies. You're making a huge statement that "protein supplments will kill you." So, if I increase my protein intake through food, it won't? All proteins break down into amino acids, whether it's through food or supplements.

But most of all, don't be warning people about false information.

i never said a high intake of protein was bad i said a high take of CONCETRATED protein can cause heart problems.

chances are my dad was saying that for people who take liek the whole thing in a day, so ill go and talk to him and see if i can convince him otherwise.

well im going to continue taking it, because in like the last 3 weeks of bodbuilding iv seen MASSIVE improvments.

Who the hell takes a full container of anything in a day?

All in all, with everything you've said, face the facts. You did not get massive in 3 weeks.. You never bought, or have taken any creatine or protein supplements, and from all your inexperience of everything you said, you wouldn't know HOW TO get massive not in 3 weeks, but period. Lets not get ahead of yourself kid, let the balls drop, graduate 8 gawade and read, learn, practice SPELLING, Than read, learn and try THIS when you are ready.

Lol alright alright, give him a break, I admire my dad and if he told me something as utterly ridiculous as this I'd probably at least consider it as truth. But I would however check it out on my own. Thats the problem with the world today, everyones either on one side or the other, they never see both sides then come up with their own.
