Suppliment info... Will This Work For Me???

1) How do you feel about "CellMass" creatine, has any one had any experience with it? I heard it doesn't retain water like monohydrates do, is this true?

2) How do you feel about "No Explode" Nitric Oxide, has any one had any experience with it? I was told to use this in conjunction with the cellmass for better results than taking a mixed creatine/nitric oxide suppliment is this true?

3) If you do not agree with anything I have chosen, what is your recomended creatine/nitric oxide mix or just creatine that would be safe for an 18 year old?

4) Finally, would it be a good idea to drink 2-3 servings of ON Whey throughout the day (even on rest days), take a multi vitamin daily, drink a serving muscle milk right before bed on the days i work out, and drink the creatine and nitric oxide (or only creatine) before and after workout, or as directed on the container? Do you think a suppliment diet like this coupled with healthy food choices would be overkill considering my goals listed below?

My Goal: I am about to go into a hardcore work out month (where I will use the creatine and nitric oxide for no more than a month). I have been working out consitently for about 5 months now. I am 18, 5'8" and I weigh 145lbs. I have a thick build and have no problem gaining weight, infact I gain fat very easily (I used to be very chubby). My overall goal is to get stronger, but not do anything irreversable or dangerous to my body because i am not fully done with puberty. I focus on good posture and proper lifting, and I have a good full, split body routine I do about 4 times a week. I don't want to look puffy or get really big, mainly build lean muscle and get much stronger.

The whey is fine. Skip the No2. Creatine is good. You'll only bloat if you load up...stick with 3-6 grams and you'll be fine and spend less money. Spend the rest of your money that you'd spend on NoExplode and Cellmass on food.

at 18 years of age and 145lbs, your best bet is to forget about the majority of that stuff and focus on getting your lifts up and eating good foods. at that age, you have so much going for you that you can make tremendous progress for years to come by keeping things basic and not get yourself caught up in all that nonsense.

I still think a multivitamin would be good for an 18 yr old. After all, you're still growing a little, and the bones will soon be hardening up. I've seen studies where males are having lower bone densities due to not drinking enough milk (calcium) and consuming too much soda pop (the phosphorus in the soda upsets blood-phosphorus levels, making the body leech calcium from teeth and bones to balance the blood chemistry...but I digress)

Definitely skip the NO2 product. NO2 just makes you look bigger because more blood fills the muscles. It doesn't make you stronger...its basically cosmetic. Leave the make-up to your girlfriend.

Creatine is your choice. If you get some, make it Creatine Monohydrate, made with Creapure (Op. Nutriition makes theirs with creapure, as does AtLargeNutrition.com). Don't buy into the Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE) or Kre-Alkalyn (buffered creatine) hype. No research exists that proves those are ANY more effective than monohydrate...but they sure cost a lot more. Take 5g post-workout in your PWO shake. No loading. No cycling off is needed.

I too think you should skip the supplements at least for now, unless, for some reason, you don't eat enough or don't have time to eat consistently, then you should go ahead with the whey.

I'm 5'8 also, when I was 18 I went from 135 to 175 in a little more than a year. Make sure you are eating enough, obviously. In the future it would help to take some Creatine, but it would be better to try without first. However, I think cycling works better ( in reply to the post above), but that is just from my personal experience, it's different for every person of course.

Should i keep the muscle milk? I love the stuff, it's the best tasteing suppliment iv tried. But im confused as to when i should take it. I take it before bed on nights i work out, but then i was told by the lady at the GNC that its higher in fat and it would be better to take a "caseine" protein or something like that. What do you guys think? Plus, Im deff gonna stay on the whey, and keep taking about 100-120 grams a day or so. Btw, im taking your guys advise and staying away from the creatine. I was told you will not only lose mass when you ge off it, but your stregnth as well...which would make it a money pit so ill just do it the hard way.

again i say you're getting into this too much. musclemilk and all that whey, how much solid food are you eating? all these liquid calories will not make your progress any faster and one can argue that you will possibly not make as much progress as you could be.

musclemilk just supplies calories and protein to the meal plan. some take it at night, some take it with meals, etc. a casein supplement would just supply protein to the meal plan. any one of these would be used when solid food isnt an option.

a good meal before bed is a slow digesting protein with some healthy fats and maybe a few carbs. a shake is better than nothing but not better than food.

whoever told you that about creatine doesnt have a clue what they're talking about. simple fact is that you dont need it at this time. ;)

Supplements

You should definitely skip the supplements. Maybe add some protein to your diet or a 1 protein shake daily. But it should be more along the lines of a meal replacement than a whey "protein boost" supplement.

I would highly recommend a good multivitamin.

The reason you need a vitamin is for muscle recovery and to keep your body and metabolism healthy. You can gain mass all you want but to be truly healthy and get big you need a vitamin.
