Supplements

I am a 13 year old i weigh 120 punds and am 4'11 most of it is muscle now but i just bought some whey protien supplement and i wanted to know if was ok i use it as a meal replacment in the morning and du a lot of push ups and pull ups.

Personaly I think your too young. And at your age you should not be skipping meals or replacing them.

I agree, your too young to skipped meals and of course to take supplements that will reduce your weight. Just have a healthy diet if you don't want to gain more weight.

i agree, at 13 you shouldn't need protein powder, just good food.

but, protein powder IS technically food in liquid form, so its not 'dangerous' or 'harmful'.

I wouldn't swap a meal for the powder though. Have it as part of a meal (like at breakfast, with oatmeal). 1 shake per day, NO MORE.

Thanks for the pinters but what age would it be bettter at? I'll be fourteen soon but i still don't know, i read a lot of articles first but i neeeded to get some real opinons

You need to eat some food. Plain and simple. You're a growing boy.

When you can buy cigarettes legally, you can start thinking about supplements.

hardcore working out...i'd have to hear the routine to decide.

but at 14, you're fine to lift weights. I would not focus too hard on doing a lot of One Rep Max training, but squats, pullups, barbel rows, benchpress, military press and deadlifts should definitely be in your training routine.

Too young to really hit it hard in the gym, definitely NOT too young for a quality protein supplement nor proper nutrition.

I want to know if i need to lose weight though i'm barely 4'11 and i weigh 120.
