supplements for me

hey all its been a while. Ok i just bought a gold card from gnc so i want to use it. I have a pretty balanced diet and i weightlift pretty heavily. Anyways i think im going through a stage where im going through gnc and see all these tablets and powders i dont no what they even are and im always like " i have to buy that!" ANyways for the way i lift 1-2X a day 5 days a week/ baseball 2 times a week i need to know what supplements i need. Gnc told me i just need a multi and protien. As of now im currently taking Gnc Creatine mono.. Gnc 100% whey protien and a vitamin e pill. Im also going to start taking gnc megaman mulit vitamin. I know there is like tons of other things out there but what do u think i personally need? and btw what the heck is fish oil?!? sounds kinda sick....Later

For starters, see if there is a Vitamin Shoppe around you. GNC is WAY to expensive.

LV - yeah but he already blew $10-$20 on a GNC card...so he may as well use it on some things to re-coup what he spent.

Its been a while since I bothered with Gold card, but last time I had one, I recall the discount being higher on some days of the month, so you might be able to still save a buck or two.

Otherwise, buy online or Vitamin Shoppe (who has an online site too).

You don't NEED any supplements. period. its doable through diet.
if your schedule doesn't allow diet to do it all, then you supplement.

I would only worry about protein, and a multivitamin. creatine isn't bad, but its not a wonder drug, so don't treat it as such. Get a whey/egg or whey/casien blend of protein...pure whey digests too quickly IMO.
Fish oil capsules aren't gross, adn help supplement your fat intake, since a clean diet usually lacks adequate fat intake.

For the future, online is way cheaper.

Malkore said everything already, if you stick to a whey protein powder, a lot do digest pretty quickly, the isolates are better than the concentrates, in terms of fat and biological value.
