Supplement help

Hi guys,

I currently am looking to bulk up a bit in short.

i lost quite a bit of weight over christmas without any supplements just a higher regime of cardio. But now i am trying to build up my muscle. But im confused as to whether i should be using a protein powder, creatine powder or something else? And what kind of protein, or other should i be getting?

Also should i be taking the powder every day or just the days i work out?

I do eat regular meals (approx every 3 hours) about 5-6 meals per day but it seems now nearly impossible to bulk. Im just doing the same reps but not going anywhere????

Alex

gaining size is about more about caloric intake than about supplements. if you have trouble consuming enough protein, then a protein powder can do you well. my personal opinion is that creatine is better suited for latter down the road as plenty of gains can be made without it.

you're doing the same reps, but what about the weight on the bar? and your exercises? and your programming? ;)

ive increased my weights and have taken advice of a member on here working out my max etc.

I am also now mixing my excersises up more. using incline, declines etc.

But everyone seems to be taking protein but im unsre what toi go for.

if you want to get a protein powder, a milk blend (whey/casein) would be the one to choose. you would use it where needed as in, you're eating 5-6 meals a day roughly every 3 hours. each of these meals should be based on protein.

many also use them after training for quick calories.
