Hi All, My favorite homemade recipe,
Start with Your favorite turkey meat, l love 'Honeysuckle White' grounded turkey meat for my meatballs and add your favorite seasonings into the meat or to reduce sodium intake, make your meatballs and while they are boiling don't season them or just sprinkle a little salt and pepper over them while they are cooking.
Once your meatballs have been fully cooked set aside to simmer, boil your fresh tomatoes and peel the skin off of them if you prefer, cut your tomatoes into four pieces ( if you prefer chunky sauce as l do) or blend for smooth sauce. Add tomatoes to simmering meatballs.
Boil 1-2 pounds of Kidney Beans, if you don't have the time use a can but drain the starchy water from the canned beans, soak the Beans but while they are boiling and cooked to perfection don't season them until they are fully cooked; about 1 hour, then slow cook for 1 more hour. Add salt to beans after fully cooked for flavor to your tasting.
Add the beans to the rest of the ingredients and you have enough Chilli with tons of protein, healthy fats and carbs from the kidney beans to last all week or feed a large family.
You can add your favorite veggies as well, and top with low fat cheese, sour cream, and what ever your heart desires, as long as it's healthy for You, enjoy!
