Suggestions please - leg strength

Hi

I'm looking to build up the strength in my legs. 1 leg is stronger than the other due to having a operation on my knee a couple of years ago.

I can't put much weight through my knee so the bad news is I can't do the squats... good news is I can't do the squat!:cool2:

I would specifically like to target the hamstrings as I think they are very weak. I don't like using the quad or hamstring machines, they feel a bit anatomically wrong if you know what I mean.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated,
