Sport Suggestions on great salad combos?

Hey guys- I've been trying to eat pretty healthy, and would like to incorporate some great salads into my diet, but tend to feel unsatisfied with a basic garden salad. I would appreciate some ideas for different combos, ingredients, spices, dressings, etc. Thanks!
 
I like to take romaine lettuce chop it up throw it into a rediculously large bowl. Then I raid the refridgerator and throw anything good on there. You can take the chicken from last night chop it up and toss it on then finish it off with those leftover green beans. The combinations are endless and you always get something new. It may not always be visually pleasing but its good and you get rid of your left overs.
 
I try that sometimes- problem is I don't cook much so I don't ever really have leftovers!

Maybe my empty fridge is the problem:)
 
You can add yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, hard boiled eggs, tuna, any kind of meat broiled or fried in extra virgin olive oil (salmon, any kind of fish, chicken breast, lean steak)... Some supermarkets and deli's sell precooked fish fillets or chicken breasts if you don't have time to cook them yourself.
 
personally, my favorite is: lettuce, spinach, almonds or any kind of nut, olive oil based dressing, cheese(mozzerella for me) chicken, turkey or steak, and egg whites. very very scrumptious
