I'm 6'1 172 lbs.
I would like to be 185-190 lbs.
I'm trying to add +500 good calories each day to my diet but having trouble figuring out WHAT to add.
Here's just a sample of a typical day of what I eat:
Morning:
-Amplify XL Whey Protein Shake mixed w/ milk (~300 calories 40g protein)
- 1 piece of whole wheat whole grain toast (sometimes w/ peanut butter depending on how late I'm running)
Snack:
- Apple
- Banana
- 3 Egg Whites
Lunch:
- (Turkey/Chicken Breast) Sandwich
- Small bag of chips
Workout:
- 1 to 2 slices of whole wheat whole grain toast w/ peanut butter an hour or so before workout.... also snack on pistachios at this time
-Amplify XL Whey Protein Shake mixed w/ milk immediately after workout
Dinner:
- Salmon filet, brown rice, corn on the cob
I drink ~90-100 fl. oz of water and sometimes I'll have a bowl of slow-churned low-fat ice cream after dinner. I don't do ANY cardio exercises really (except for going for short walks at work... long walks on bike trail at most 1-2 times per week).
I did buy some oatmeal I've been tryin to figure out where I can sneak a bowl in every day at... anyone have any good suggestions on a way I can get ~500 more calories in each day at? I am on a pretty tight budget so I can't spend a whole lot.
Thanks in advance!
