I get these often, specifically as I am Calorie-counting.

I tend to just go work out and then I guess adrenaline helps me overcome it. I dunno.

My question is if there is anything low-cal I can eat to give me an energy boost, and fast? Its so bad to feel tired and dead.

Yeah I get it too, especially a cold feeling sometimes from a low carb diet, then once I eat my body gets a rush of heat. As long as you are eating frequently enough, thats the important thing. Or not depriving yourself of calories too much. I'm a 220lb male, and although my basic metabolic calorie rate per day is in the 2,000-3,000 range, I can get by on 1,000 calories a day when I'm really good, it makes up for the bad days. 16 ounces or one lb of cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts is only 320 calories, and a serving of green beans is only 20 calories which also has complex carbs for energy. I can eat 3 meals of 5 oz piece of boneless skinless chicken breasts, and 2 cans of vegetables (huge serving!) and still stay well under 1000 cals for the day with plenty of nutrition.

This is exactly why the glycemic index was created for diabetics. Yes it's good to know what will spike your blood sugar when you don't want it to, but on the same note they really need to know what will bring it up in a hurry if they are low.

However, the fact that you're doing this to yourself isn't good. You shouldn't purposely bottom out your blood sugar then actively look for something to bring it back up real fast. Keep it at a more constant level and avoid the roller coaster effect.
