Stunners - Great bar scene video

A friend of mine sent me this link today and the video is great! It's about two guys at a bar who get quite a shock...I don't want to ruin the punchline, but if you all have time, you should check it out!

And that is why I'll probably spend the rest of my existence alone.

All hair restoration procedures are a sham and that video is a low blow.

oh, I'm sorry Cynic! I definitely did not mean to offend and I can see how you would feel upset by this video, but I don't think the intention was to offend people. I viewed it as an interesting way to turn the perspective around and to encourage people to talk to their doctors about hairloss. I agree that there are a lot of scams out there, but there are some drugs that can help stop the progression of hairloss, right?

I know it wasn't your intention. It is the intention of these scammers preying on men's esteem, that is why I chose my screename.

The truth is, no hair restoration process is permanent. Surgury has a chance to cause horrible scarring, look bad because the hair is not growing the right way, but more importantly, the hair is still falling out, so in time it will reveal the scars.

All the lotion and shampoo based options work only on crown balding. Receeding hairlines have no solution.

For me and men in my position there is only two options:

1. Keep it trim, like Patrick Steward and Sean Connery. Patrick Steward is a good looking man, healthy scalp and he should have women swarming over him.
2. Shave it and complete the look.

Thanks for the explaination. I was under the impression that there is a drug that at least halts the progression.

I did like that I didn't see what was coming in the video.

Funny video.

If you think about it, those two videos do to bald men what pretty much every single advertisement does to women. I would think it would make a bald man feel like crap, just like most ads make even average women feel like crap about themselves.

Ok, didn't mean to get all serious, but it's kind of true.

Not that it really needs to be said, but what that ad presented is NOT TRUE. I'm a woman and seeing that bald woman was shocking, but seeing a bald or balding man is not. I agree that ad is a low blow, and it's a total lie. Fear not, balding men. :)

Personally I think that ad was much more extreme than most ads, even those aimed at women. That's like showing a hot man who turns around and has gigantic, floppy boobs, and then saying, "women, that is how he sees your cellulite." I mean, come on.

Actually, men like big floppy boobies, so that's not a good comparison.

Perhaps a better one is to see a man with cellulite on this legs.

Ha! Your comparison is more close to the original in that sense, but cellulite on a man wouldn't have the same shock value as if a man had giant breasts. I can't think of anything better though, hmmm.

I have a question about balding, that I guess only a man would know.

Why is it that sometimes when a man is almost bald, that he doesn't just go ahead and shave it? I don't mean to be insensitive at all, it's just that bald is often sexy (think VinDiesel) but balding (George Costanza), is not as sexy. Totally bald usually makes a man look tough for some reason.

I want to shave my head, but here's a few considerations:

1. He might be fearful of looking like a neo nazi. My mom actually expressed this concern when I brought up the idea to her.
2. He may have some scalp deformaties. This I have and I would need to have cosmetic surgury done to remove it. Mine is some outcropping of flesh, small, but I took some not so nice ridicule over it in basic training.

My two cents is that there's no need for a balding man to go skinhead bald. In my opinion as long as it's kept reasonably cropped it looks fine. I think it's just old fashioned to be balding and keep the hair long, like George Costanza. Though some men can pull that look off can't they, like the guy who played Frasier, though I think he went a lot shorter in recent years.

I understand. I keep mine trimmed as best as possible, like Sean Connery or Patrick Steward.

But a complete look is more appealing than one that is partial. There's a sense of continuity.

And before you ask, I would take a second, very close and hard look at the women in the videos if they had a shaved head. I've seen plenty of women in movies that looked pretty sweet totally bald (think of the woman in the first Star Trek movie).
