Go, I'm new and looking for any help, advice, guidance and support. I have been losing weight with Weight Watchers for over 2 and half years. I've lost 5 stone (70lb) in total which almost brings me to the top end of my healthy BMI. I have also been exercising, a range of cardio and conditioning classes. However, my weight is pretty static now, 2lb on, 2lb off repeatedly. My PT is great and she tells me that I should not do more exercise as it can slow my metabolism in the same way that under eating can. She tells me that HIIT training is the way forward I do 2 of these classes a week. I don't want to be purely focused on the numbers on the scales, but I do want and need to get toned and lose the day I seem to be hanging on to (belly flab in particular). And tips?
Thank you

Hey Gin,
Congratulations on losing all that weight! That is amazing results! I notice you are a 44 year old woman. I'm 46. Until recently I've worked out for a period of a year, 30-45 minutes, 3-5 times a day with little results that was really disappointing. Lately, I've been getting the result I've been looking for. It's what you eat and exercising that gets the weight off. ~ Allison Kodama

Your body will get used to the exercises you are doing after a while, you need to mix things up. I suggest some light weight training days in between the cardio. I had the most success when I was lifting weight and doing cardio together.

Hi Gin your efforts are very commendable. Belly fat also known as abdominal viceral fat is headache for many. There are other abits which you may not have considered. Snacking should be minimized since this will also raise your insulain levels and cause more glucose to be stored into your fat cells. Try to work with a 4-4-12 eating schedule.

Basically all you have to do to lose weight is to create a caloric deficit. This is the only way to lose weight. Healthy food coupled with caloric deficit and exercises, that is the formula of success. Now, you can make a variety of recipes, food, smoothies, etc, but in the end you have to meed your must-to calories for the day. I suggest you try and create the deficit, continue with your exercises (HIIT is the way to go+ weight/body weight training) and see what is happening.
