stuck at the same weight

First of all, I'm not complaining about this, only curioius. I've hit 153/154 and that is perfectly fine with me. When I hit that weight, I stopped losing, which is the typical "plateau" that everybody talks about. Instead of losing anymore weight, I simply got weaker. So, I stopped trying, real quick. But, now, seems that no matter what I eat, I stay at that weight. I don't gain anything. I eat all the time. Some days I'm eating over 4,000 calories. Some days I'll even drink 10 beers. I can't seem to lose OR gain, which, is awesome quite frankly, but, I just don't get it.

Consistency plays a huge role. What I mean is, it's not really about how many calories you ate TODAY. It is more about longer time continuums. Maybe you ate 4000 cals yesterday but only 1500 today. This net effect could still be maintenance or even a deficit.

Point is, if you are eating above maintenance on a consistent basis, you WILL gain weight. Your body does NOT have a choice. Energy is energy and it can't simply disappear.

Maybe I'm not eating as much as I think I am. Sure feels like it though. I eat 5 or 6 times a day. I take it easy on the snacks, and my breakfast isn't outrageous with just a bowl of Kash or oatmeal and an egg or two, but for lunch and dinner, I eat enough to feel guilty about it, on a daily basis. I've been throwing beer and wine and DQ Blizzards into the mix too and still stay at the same weight.

I can eat 3 times the amount of food the many around here eat and not gain a lb.
