Weight-Loss Struggling with Sugar Content?

After getting MyFitnessPal on my phone (great app btw!) I've discovered that I eat too much sugar, and on occasion, too much fat.

I have cut down to 2 coffees a day, but I hate sugar substitutes! Also, didn't realise that a lot of fruit and veg are very high in sugar. Does anybody else have this issue and what do you use instead?

Thank you!

I don't use MyFitnessPal as it does not provide enough nutritional information.

Fat alone and carbs (sugar) does not make you fat eating too many calories makes you fat.

having said that, fat has a high calorie count and lot of sugar is unhealthy.

I eat Keto, so my carb intake each day is under 20 gram. low carb veg is all of your green leafy vegetables. sugar substitutes are not worth it, it does not take long to adapt to not adding sugar. Berries and fruit like Avocado are nutritious and relatively low in sugars.

Thank you. I have done a bit of research and found out that sugar isn't as bad as I thought. It just doesn't have any nutrients, but it has calories which can be burned in the same way as any other calories. I tried blueberries and strawberries in porridge but both have even more sugar content than I was having originally! Brown sugar is less and sweeter so that will have to do for now.

some berries may be a little higher in sugar content but you are getting a lot of good nutrition in berries that you do not get with just adding sugar.

I use agave nectar as a sugar alternative. It is lighter than healthy and I love the way it tastes. I'll post the link where I got mine. The site has a bunch of sugar alternatives and other healthy snack options Link Removed I hope this helps! Sugar is the worst!
