Morning!

I am new here so please let me know if I am posting in the wrong section!

I have managed to go from 16stone7 to 10stone11 since February which I am happy about but now I just feel I have hit a brick wall- I am struggling to lose more and keep motivation- although my calories are limited to around 1300 a day, I go to the gym most days etc the weight is just not coming off- anyone know anything that could help? Thinking maybe a cleanse?

thanks!

Hi Freddie and welcome! How tall/old/active are you and what gender? Depending on those things you may you be getting close to your natural weight limit or be far away from it, which makes a big difference. Also: have you been losing no weight at all or just less than you were? How long have you been stalling? Do you count calories exactly or are you estimating? Often we get less exact with tracking over time and the calories can creep up without us noticing.
Cleanses do... nothing much, unless you´re prepping for a colonoscopy.

Thank you for your reply!
I am 28yr old female, 5ft9, I would say the last month my weight hasn’t budged, I haven’t really done anything different to normal when I was losing a pound or more a week consistently? I use my fitness pal to track my calories!

Ok, so your bmi is 22.3 or so? That may just be a weight your body is comfortable with, meaning it would be hard to get thinner. Or it could be that you´re working out just that little bit less intensely, weighing your food a little less carefully, or eating a little more sodium so you´re retaining a little water right now. If you want to know exactly I´d suggest tracking every bite and sip, and bit of exercise 100% exactly for 2 weeks again and see if you get a drop on the scale. If not you may need to up your exercise if you want to lower the number on the scale further. Which, by the way: great work work on losing almost 6 stone in the plague year, that´s amazing!

Back end 2012 I was just over 9st and looked slim.
I became ill due to gallbladder problem and fell to 8st.
Now I am 9st ish and have a jelly belly. I would love to have a flatish stomach again but I don't think that is going to happen.
I don't take much notice of scales more measurements. As you can see from the above I am same weight but different shape.
