Good afternoon from the UK.
Currently doing my hardest to lose weight. I just wanted a bit of advice really and hopefully you guys and girls can give me the advice im after.

I am 239lbs, 5ft 8", 39.6 Percent Body Fat. My starting weight was 251lbs.
Nearly 3 weeks ago I started a 5km walk in 60 mins per day and 10 days ago started the Gym 5 times per week, between 1hr -2hrs. I use a Myzone MZ-3 which comes part of the gym package I am with. I get measured and weighed once per week (This coming Tuesday is the next one.)

I am now having 5 smaller meals per day with 4 containing at least 25g of protein, per day I am averaging 1400 calories per day.
My Body metric from the gym suggests a basal metabolic rate at 1788 calories, but unfortunately I am struggling to stuff any more into my gut.
So average calorie burn through exercise is between 1500 -2500 calories.

You can see its a huge calorie deficit but I genuinely don't know how I can cram in anymore food.
I am concerned about my metabolism rate as well as I don't want all this hard work to be for nothing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, KevB88,

So your problem is that you can't eat more food, right?
I'd recommend to do intermittent fasting, and to eat 2-3 meals a day but eat more. That's a really big calorie deficit, especially if you want to build muscle to increase your metabolism, not eating enough can have a havoc on your results.

If you have more questions please ask! :)

Good luck!
