Sport Strange appetite in the morning.

Sport Fitness
I guess I can put this in the nutrition section because it has to do with food.

I really love seafood and fish. Any chance I get to go out to a restaurant I will almost always order something with seafood in it.

Recently, however I've been getting grossed out by the thought of eating fish first thing in the morning. I don't know what it's about, for about the first hour after I've woken up I don't like the smell, sight or thought of seafood. Then after I've been up for a while and eaten something else, I'm normal again.

It's not a huge problem, but it's just kind of weird to me and I think my mom thinks it's kind of weird too. She offered me scallops this morning for breakfast, and I just couldn't deal with the smell or the thought of eating them. Then two hours later, I was enjoying them.

Does anyone know what this could possibly be about?

You usually have seafood for breakfast? I don't know why you're suddenly disgusted by it, but I'd say seafood is probably not the first thing that I yearn for in the morning.

Maybe you're body is lacking something and it's telling you to eat something else to fulfill that missing something. Then once you fulfill that need, you're back to normal thoughts.

I'm exactly the same way. I think it's normal. I can eat cold chicken for breakfast but try to get me to eat some mahi mahi? No way. Later in the day, sure thing.

no way!! you eat Dolphion!! poor Flipper! hehhehee

I crave Krispy Kreme Donuts in the morning. And I have found a small chunk of Salmon solves that sweet crave.

thank you for allowing me to participate.

I don't see the problem. I think NOT wanting fish in the morning is completely normal. Just have what you consider to be a suitable breakfast meal, and have the fish when it sounds tasty.

Most foods don't appeal to me first thing in the morning.

I think it is that fasting overnight/low blood sugar thing. It can make you feel nauseous or craving particular foods (usually carbs, sometimes fat).

So that would be my guess....sorry it isn't quite as funny...

Huh, that's interesting. I usually love yogurt in the morning, and the kind I like is high in sugar and fat.
